Producers steer a film from start to finish – from the inception of the screenplay and development of script, to the hiring of all the key talent and crew, and then into production, post, and marketing. A great producer knows how to oversee and guide every aspect of making a film both creatively and practically, such as these distinguished producers. Nina Jacobson, former President of Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group and Principal, Color Force Productions (Diary of Wimpy Kid, One Day, Hunger Games) and Julie Yorn, Principal, LBI Entertainment (We Bought a Zoo, Unstoppable) will discuss the challenges, joys, and the secrets producers employ to get films onto the big screen.
The panel will be moderated by Savannah Film Festival Advisory Board Member and Executive Vice President of Fox 2000, Carla Hacken. Carla has overseen the production of over 15 films including the Devil Wears Prada, Walk the Line, and more recently the hit family franchise, Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
