Panels and Workshops

Action films continue to be a huge draw to theaters, with the work of film stunt coordinators and stunt performers garnering rapt attention from audiences around the world. Even as evolving technology becomes more prominent in films, stunts are woven into the entire process, from pre-production through post. Join this panel with stunt performers to learn why this line of work cannot be imitated by CGI and visual effects. Panelists will discuss crafting, preparation, and execution of some of these higher-end stunts seen across the wide spectrum of films today and lead an exciting demonstration of their field of work.

Stunt actor and SCAD alum Rachel Gelfeld will be presented with the SCAD45 Award.

This panel will be held at the Savannah Film Studios backlot. To attend, patrons must use the festival shuttle loop, with pickup locations at the Lucas Theatre for the Arts or the SCAD Museum of Art. No onsite parking is available.
