Gala Screenings
Memory
Silvia leads a simple and structured life: her daughter, her job, her AA meetings. But her controlled routine is blown open when Saul follows her home from their high school reunion. Their surprise encounter profoundly impacts both of them as they open the door to the past. With a pair of bravura performances from Peter Sarsgaard and Jessica Chastain, this touching and unconventional romance between two damaged souls offers a beautiful glimmer of hope where you least expect it.
U.S. premiere
Actor Peter Sarsgaard will be presented with the Vanguard Award. Sound designer and SCAD alum Brent Kiser (B.F.A., sound design, 2006) will also be presented with the SCAD45 Award. A Q&A with Sarsgaard immediately follows the screening.
