Signature Screenings
Misty Green
Years after her Hollywood breakthrough, a talented actress whose career has stalled fights for her second act. Written and directed by Chris Rock, Misty Green treats the unraveling of one woman as a way of looking at modern Los Angeles: its staggering wealth and visible desperation, its bright lights and bad habits, and its peculiar ability to make hope and humiliation feel like neighboring addresses. An A24 release.
Actor Rosalind Eleazar will be presented with the Breakthrough Award. A Q&A with Eleazar immediately follows the screening.
